Aloha from Hawaii:
My wife & I look forward to meeting Sensei Bob & the rest of Kenshin Dojo during our trip to Phoenix next month (April 2006).
I hope that our Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu style isn't confusing while we practice with you.
Ken

Hello Kenshidojo members,
It is very, very cold this winter but the Meirinkai members are all well.
Last week we did tameshigiri. We cut 23 rolls of tatami mats. Some did very well, some did not. Cutting is difficult but fun. I will try to put the pictures on the Meirin website as soon as possible.

To: ALL MEIRIN KAI USA MEMBERS
FROM: DOWDY RYNYO SENSEI
The leaves have turned their last color and have fallen into cold crisp mornings.
Hello, and winter greetings from Himeji. Nice and cold for all your winter SHUGYO( sever training) can be had here. I Just spoke to Corella Sensei on the phone. I'll be flying into Phoenix Dec 26th and leaving Jan 6th early am. I'm planning to break away from family and get some dojo time in to help when I can. I'm looking forward to seeing you and warming up.
The Dojo in Himeji is doing fine. There were High Ranking tests done in late November for IAIDO, KEMBU AND SENBU. Most passed and did well. However some were requested to retest at a later date. Next Saturday night after practice, all of the members are getting together for a traditional End of the Year party at a nearby Izakaiya( Japanese pub) Should prove to be an evening of drink and merryment. One year the door knobs froze on the car so we had to break one to get in...thats why you need plenty of HOT sake over here. Please stay healthy and safe- Dowdy
